Participating in testing on both converter level and submodule level of a Modular Multilevel Converter (MMC) prototype, while considering test procedures and safety measures in line with standards
Contributing to data logging and test agenda keeping related to testing activities and daily test observations
Specification of power electronics components for MMC to improve performance and optimize cost
Reviewing/analysing datasheets and getting in touch with the manufacturers for qualification of appropriate components
Collaboration with different teams like Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and etc. to evaluate/analyse the system behaviour from different perpectives
Going through different documentation for signals used in the system and simulation environment and creating new signals in database, whenever needed
Troubleshooting possible problems and bugs related to communication of controllers or equipment, such as PLC, FPGAs, oscilloscope, LabView, etc.
Simulations in Matlab/Simulink on the already existing converter model under different failure scenarios to observe the system behaviour and provide primary fault analysis
Eager to participate in (learn, if necessary) Reliability analysis and Failure Mode Cause and Effect Analysis (FMCEA) studies for the MMC
