(Senior) Function & Concept Engineer - Vehicle Motion and Energy (m/f/d)
- Full responsibility (End-2-End) for a specific software component or an overall software function from specification to approval
- Model-based or code-based function development for the related software functionsDevelopment of new functional concepts such as onboard-real-time-controllers, state observers, operation strategies, state predictions, actuator interfaces or online connections and backend-based datamining functions
- Development of algorithms, strategies and controllers aligned to the customer-experience
- Planning, execution, and evaluation of tests (virtual MIL-verification to comprehensive HiL platform and in-vehicle testing) as well as error analyses and the realization of resulting solutions
- Specification of necessary test cases, evaluation and documentation of test results and derivation of required measures and commissioning and initial calibration of the function
- Definition, coordination, and optimization of all related requirements including Requirement engineering and breakdown as well as stakeholder management in the context of function development of chassis, powertrain, charging or energy management systems
- Documentation and release of software functions/components for in-vehicle operation following the company and industry engineering processes, norms, and guidelines to ensure compliance with quality standards and legal requirements
- Successful completed studies in the field of computer science, mechatronics, electrical engineering, or a comparable course of studies
- Several years of professional experience in the relevant area
- Professional experience and advanced knowledge in the development of controllers and functions, in-house development of embedded software or data analysis
- Sound knowledge about model- and/or code-based function development and experience with common calibration tools
- Experience in working as part of agile teams on a solution based level; Scrum, SAFe, CI/CD or PI Planning are not just buzzwords for you
