My duties
In this role you will lead the architecture on upcoming technology enabled the LEGO® products & experiences, establish a strategy & roadmap, integrated with the teams designing, building, and testing them. Your core responsibilities:
  • Be part of a digital transformation in the LEGO Group bringing new technologies to the customer to enable innovative ways to play.
  • Lead the definition and convergence of product architectures that enable technologies and ensure our ability to deliver new flexible and expandable platforms.
  • Drive the progression of concepts & prototypes into platforms and enable great Play Design through efficient pipelines and tooling.
  • Work with the Software, Operating Systems and Embedded Systems & Mechanics domains in Play Engineering to manage our architectures, driving principles and patterns and reducing technical debt.
  • Represent Play Engineering to the wider stakeholders within the LEGO Group and establish a technology roadmap.
My qualifications
  • Advanced technical understanding of machine learning technologies used to improve human computer interaction.
  • Key areas of interest include any of the following: speech recognition, object detection and segmentation, tracking and recognition, activity recognition, multiple view geometry and 3D computer vision.
  • Confidence in ambiguous new technology spaces.
  • Prior experience driving architecture convergence for hardware devices and experiences.
  • Passion for the user experience and a play-first mindset.
  • An ability to communicate technology and product strategy effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience working in cross-functional and creative teams.
