My duties
  • Lead, coach and develop a small team of controllers.
  • Coordinate all financial planning and analysis processes for several legal entities and analyse actual results, highlighting drivers for business performance.
  • Act as business partner to local management, providing decision support based on sound financial analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement in controlling and reporting processes, with the aim to increase efficiency as well as cost and working capital transparency.
  • Lead and coordinate the product costing process in close collaboration with manufacturing teams.
  • Prepare financial evaluations for investment proposals and ensure adequate cost control in collaboration with business teams.
  • Assume responsibility for special themes and cross-functional projects, as well as handling ad-hoc enquiries.
  • Ensure close collaboration and communication with internal stakeholders and other departments, both at local and group level
My qualifications
  • Bachelor or, preferably, Master’s Degree in the field of Economics, ideally with Majors in Controlling and Accounting.
  • Relevant experience as business controller in an international manufacturing company; hands-on experience in manufacturing accounting and product costing is a must.
  • Fully proficient in SAP CO and in Microsoft Excel, as well as thorough understanding of IFRS accounting principles.
  • Experience in successfully leading and developing small teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail and accuracy; ability to derive insights from analysis and to convert insights into business value.
  • Collaborative, business partner mindset, ability to work across functional boundaries and to support and challenge senior leaders in operational and strategic matters.
  • Willing to take over full responsibility, work independently and direct own work; ability to react appropriately in urgent situations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills – fluency in English and German is essential.
