Your responsibilities
- Support the head office with work related to European standards and regulations and also International standards
- Ensure that products comply with all European and international standards and regulations
- Provide information about European and international standards and regulations
- Participate in standard committees (CENELEC, CEN, ISO, IEC, DKE etc.)
- Participation in trade associations (EPTA, EGMF, FGR etc.)
- Handle any questions or challenges raised by market surveillance authorities etc.
- Support the head office in case of problems with test houses in Europe
Your profile
- University Degree in Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering is also possible
- Knowledge of product safety standards
- Familiarity with EU legislation such as Machinery Directive, Low voltage Directive
- Good communication skills and a confident speaker in a group
- Willingness to travel
- Experince in the home appliance, power tool or garden machine industry
- Experience in a product testing environment for a manufacturer or test house
- Background in design and development of high volume consumer products
- Hands-on-experience in project management for new product introduction
- Working experience in product certification / compliance, trade associations, familiar with EU institutions and procedures
