


- Improve the IO subsystem and IO peripherals in the heterogeneous SoC architectures by concept design of IO IP building blocks and their organization such as CAN (FD) bus, Automotive Ethernet, camera and further sensor interfaces (GMSL, MIPI CSI2, AVB/TSN, GMII, PCIe and others)
- Specify and design peripheral IP IO building blocks for use with the SoCs in the automotive domain in order to support future sensors and autonomous driving scenarios
- Assess and refine internal on-chip interfaces for use with IO peripheral blocks for automotive requirements
- Align with internal IP owners and system-level stakeholders to support safety and reliability design targets in terms of diversity and redundancy
- Assess the requirements for data communication for future generations of the mobile data centre platform
- Align with IP stakeholders to analyze diverse requirements and complete system-level specifications
- Support the definition of verification plans and test procedures
- Master or higher degree of engineering/science, preferably with a proven background in automotive research and development
- Relevant experience in the concept design of communication IO interfaces for Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS) and/or autonomous driving platforms
- Excellent understanding of IO interfaces, automotive ECU and SoC architectures, hardware platform architectures and their design tradeoffs (performance, efficiency, testability, functional safety measures)
- Knowledge of Redundancy - Multiplicity - Diversity concepts for automotive safety architectures
- Common understanding of best-known design methods and standards in the industry such as AUTOSAR and ISO26262
- Comfortable with capturing requirements in tools like IBM Rational DOORS or Sparx Enterprise Architect and authoring high-level specifications
- Good knowledge of modelling and simulation frameworks for system-level virtual prototypes (e.g., SystemC or system verilog-based) and/or RTL design for proof of concept
- Curious and willing to challenge existing solutions with innovative technology concepts based on systematic problem-solving skills
- Fluency in English with great intercultural, social and communication skills in order to work in distributed international and cross-functional teams
- Willingness to travel abroad (up to 20% of time)
