Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for engineering a world class enterprise data management platform and driving continuous improvement for a world class data science company
  • You establish together with the data architect, the data scientist, and in line of business associates new system features/functionalities and help bring thoughtfully curated data system and products that the complete organization can trust 
  • You are responsible for setup, configuring, analyzing, and maintaining all data structures used for analytics and reporting
  • You ensure all data sources are accurate, congruent, reliable, and secure
  • Responsible for the full data life cycle development, implementation, support and tuning of the Enterprise Data house, including Data Lake and data pipelines
  • You define and build data integration processes to be used across the organization
  • You identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including: automating manual processes, optimize data delivery and designing cloud infrastructure for greater scalability, etc
  • You ensure all data accesses, along with data at rest or in transit is secure and follows the best in class data governance standards
  • You support the integration of enterprise application databases and real time processing into the data platform
  • You build, test, monitor and maintain a highly scalable data management ecosystem
  • You execute architected techniques and solutions for data collection, management and usage
  • You take business requirements and produce data sets for efficient cross-business analysis
  • You explore data and develop appropriate utilization solutions
  • You are responsible for data cleaning, data availability, data models and database performance in the field of ETL/ELT
  • You have a deep interest in the data and analytics market with ability to constantly evaluate new ways to enhance the telemetry system and train it to be smarter and more scalable

Your profile

  • You have a university degree in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical fields
  • You have experience of data engineering, data development and integration scenarios
  • You have experience with Enterprise Data Warehouse and/or data Lake environments
  • You are comfortable with data modeling practices (normalizing, dimensionalizing etc.)
  • You have the ability to read and create ERDs (Entity Relationship Diagrams)
  • You have intermediate SQL/NoSQL experience and know-how in the ETL and ELT techniques
  • You have a comprehensive know-how in clean, enrich and transform different data sources
  • You have knowledge of data processing, hardware platforms, and enterprise software Technical experience with enterprise systems, databases, and user support
  • You have basic knowledge in data security, data privacy, GDPR and all technical aspects in Europe
  • You have very good communication and teamwork skills, team-oriented and committed to a self-organized way of working
  • You have experience with Snowflake, Adobe®, SAP®, SalesForce® solution stack
  • You have knowledge of at least one modern scripting language (e.g. Python, R, etc.)
  • You have experience with automated software testing and deployment
  • You have a strategic/conceptual thinking and acting with an structured and analytical approach
  • You are comfortable with agile software development and DevOps environments
  • You are fluent in English; preferably also in German; any other European language is a plus
