Your responsibilities
- As bioinformatics developer in our team, you design and establish computational tools for mass spectrometry derived omics data, with the focus on proteomics data
- You setup computational pipelines for downstream processing of different omics datatypes to produce standardized outputs for further applications
- You create impactful visualizations from omics analyses and implement these in interactive applications
- You work on ETL libraries to facilitate (meta-)data collection from various sources and upload into our database system
- Collaborate with colleagues across the matrix to plan and execute tasks providing support to develop applications for the analysis proteomic data sets
- Additionally, you take the lead as a data steward to curate and upload omics studies into our data management system
Your profile
- PHD or master’s degree with dedicated experience in bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science or a related field
- Advanced knowledge in Python or R
- Demonstrated proficiency in working with omics data analysis and visualization
- Profound experience in developing and deploying interactive web-applications
- Experience in developing ETLs and nextflow pipelines
- You are familiar with community standards and prerequisites of FAIR data management
- Knowledge of mass spectrometry is a plus
- Excellent communication- and intercultural skills
