(Senior) Cloud Architect - Serverless Computing (m/f/d)

My duties
  • As a member of the Cloud BU IaaS team and serverless computing architect drive the research and development of the next-generation technologies at the intersection of cloud object storage and serverless computing infrastructures.
  • Be responsible for the research, architecture, design and implementation of the next-generation technologies at the intersection of object storage and serverless computing. 
  • Focus on the technological innovation and competitiveness in the media, Big Data, and ML domains along with the implications of emerging hardware.
  • Track the latest progress of industry and academia on cloud computing technologies specially in cloud-native and serverless, actively participate in academic conferences, promote cloud computing ecosystem construction and external cooperation, and improve the overall influence of our clients Cloud.
  • Plan the software technology and IP and collaboration strategy, lead the selection, adoption, and participation of relevant industry standards, and formulate a technology roadmap that forms the basis for a highly competitive product portfolio.
  • Clarify the software requirements with the relevant parties, guide the entire prototyping and agile software life-cycle, make decisions about the realization of the designed key technical solutions, and participate and provide guidance to the team.
My qualifications
  • BSc/MSc in computer science or other domain-related disciplines.
  • In-depth experience in serverless computing frameworks, such as AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, OpenWhisk, Kubeless, OpenFaaS, and Qinling.  
  • Experience in software sandboxing technologies.
  • Be familiar with the principles and implementation of mainstream cloud technologies, such as object storage, multimedia processing, Big Data processing, and AI/ML.
  • Be familiar with the status of open source communities and the latest technology layout and roadmap of mainstream cloud vendors.
  • Ability to read academic papers, write patents, and communicate with external experts, along with experience in community Development and maintenance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, team-work spirit, and independent working capability.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Willingness and ability to travel.
