My duties
  • Management of SAP related requirements and projects across Production Execution and Inventory Management processes, systems, and geographic areas including integration of SAP with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Responsibility of all IT-related changes (break-fix, minor enhancements, and deployments) to the application
  • Management of priorities across production issues, change request and project demands
  • Balancing business needs with the scalability and robustness of a technical solution within the parameters set by the SAP template
  • Aligning local requirements with the global SAP application strategy
  • Maintaining in-depth application knowledge of the SAP PP and MM Modules while leveraging an outsourcing provider for day-to-day maintenance and support tasks
  • Willingness to gain insights in related applications and integration of technologies that contribute to the end-to-end process integration within the area of responsibility such as Advanced Production Planning systems (e.g., APO), Manufacturing Execution systems, Quality systems, and Transportation Management systems
My qualifications
  • Work experience with SAP – PP and SAP – VC with secondary knowledge/experience in Materials Management (MM)
  • Previous experience in a discrete Manufacturing environment
  • Comfortable with being viewed as a functional expert in the Production Execution and Inventory Management process areas
  • Expert in understanding the integration of SAP PP with demand/supply planning and quality processes, and manufacturing
  • Technical expertise with interface design and management between SAP PP/MM and peripheral systems, e.g., MES and TMS systems
  • Know-how in electronic communication utilizing standard SAP IDOCs
  • Experience working within a global or highly matrixed organization
  • Previous participation in full lifecycle SAP ECC or S/4 implementation projects
  • Expert in performing Unit Testing, Integration Testing and supporting deployments of SAP PP/MM
  • Experience in working in a Batch Management and Configurable Material environment is highly desired
  • Experience in working in the Metals or Commodity manufacturing industry is preferred
  • Business fluent in English and good German skills
