Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and evaluation of security-relevant events from multiple sources such as SIEM systems, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), and network sensors (NIDS/NIPS)
  • Coordination and execution of incident response activities based on established playbooks and best practices
  • Operational use and continuous improvement of technologies such as SIEM, EDR, NIDS/NIPS, CSPM, and other security solutions
  • Advising internal teams on technical security matters and supporting the implementation of protective measures
  • Proactive threat hunting to identify potential risks and vulnerabilities
  • Development and optimization of detection mechanisms (detection engineering) for early attack identification
  • Participation in a structured on-call rotation to ensure system integrity

Profile

  • Solid hands-on experience in cybersecurity, ideally in a SOC or incident response environment
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructures, network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S), and operating systems (Windows, Linux)
  • Experience in analyzing log data, network traffic, and security-related artifacts
  • Knowledge of current attack techniques and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, as well as modern security technologies
  • Analytical and structured working approach with strong problem-solving skills
  • Good English skills for technical documentation and communication
  • Team-oriented mindset, strong initiative, and excellent communication skills
  • Completed education or relevant certifications in IT security (e.g., CISSP, CEH, GIAC) are an advantage

Salary information

  • The minimum annual gross salary for this position is €75,000. Willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and professional experience.
