Microsoft Fabrics Developer (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Build and scale a modern enterprise analytics platform based on Microsoft Fabric, delivering reusable and governed data products from ingestion through business consumption.
- Build and operate Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse layers (Bronze / Silver / Gold)
- Develop data pipelines, notebooks, and SQL as well as SQL/Spak transformations
- Migrate existing SQL Server logic to Microsoft Fabric
- Apply AI-assisted approaches to translate legacy SQL code into Python
- Design and implement data products and semantic models for reporting and analytics
- Implement security and governance mechanisms (e.g. RLS, group-based access)
- Work in an agile Jira environment with bi-weekly sprints
- Close collaboration with developers, architects, and project management, with a strong focus on communication
Profile
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams (requirements are not always fully specified and need to be clarified through communication)
- Excellent skills in SQL and Python / Spark for data engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
- Experience in data modelling and BI semantic layers
- Proven experience working in agile projects using Jira
