HVDC Engineer Hochspannungstechnik / Umrichter / HGÜ (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Independent design of control and protection systems for high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission systems
- Implementation of control software in MATLAB/SIMULINK and verification using simulation tools and real-time test environments
- Preparation of related design specifications, documentation, and effort estimations
- Clarification of technical requirements within project teams as well as with customers and suppliers
- Remote support during commissioning and in service cases
Profile
- Completed university degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power engineering or control engineering, along with relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge of converter and high-voltage technology, as well as plant, control, and automation engineering
- Solid MATLAB/SIMULINK skills, including model-based implementation and verification
- Experience in engineering automation systems, preferably SIMATIC TDC / S7
- Very good command of English
- German language skills desirable
