Project Engineer, OCS Installation – Rail (m/f/d)
Responsibilities
- Independently coordinate and execute site surveys and inspections to confirm installation readiness
- Technical consulting the installation of OCS components such as masts, cantilevers, wires, insulators, and tensioning systems
- Consulting for technical inspections, site readiness checks, and align activities with track and civil engineering teams
- Technical consulting during installation, ensuring full compliance with drawings, standards, and method statements
- Consulting project progress, prepare technical reports, and manage QA/QC related documentation, including as built records
- Identify, report, inspect, and analyze material damages; independently verify material quantities and quality
- Review red mark and as built drawings and update the installation schedule in line with project requirements
- Technical consulting for adherence to all technical specifications, provide technical guidance, and review method statements and required EHS documents
- Consult compliance with EHS policies, enforce safety standards, and actively participate in daily on site safety routines
Profile
- Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a comparable technical background
- Solid practical OCS installation experience, including work on high-speed rail systems and handling wire tensioning, geometry adjustments, and OCS tolerances
- Strong capability to read, interpret, and apply OCS technical drawings, shop drawings, and construction specifications
- Experience working with governmental/public-sector entities and familiarity with handover procedures, ideally from government-related projects
- Completed or exposure to EHS trainings (e.g., OHSAS, NFPA 70, Electrical Code, Lockout-Tagout, Safe Lifting) and understanding of safety requirements
- Good understanding of basic contract principles and strong business writing skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple sites
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience coordinating or overseeing subcontractor activities
- Strong communication skills, English required; Arabic or German considered an advantage
- Intercultural experience preferred
