The Corporate Counsel Salary Report 2022 survey was conducted by the international recruitment agency Hays and the German Institute for Legal Departments and Corporate Counsel.

„The aim of the survey was to draw a comprehensive picture of the salary structures of in-house lawyers in Germany for the first time, taking into account as many different aspects as possible“, explains Dennis Groetzner, Senior Department Manager at Hays.

„Salaries and their development depend on many factors, especially in this line of work, some of which are very specific. In addition to common distinguishing features such as position, age and work experience, the location of the job and the industry to which it belongs are also very important.“

„And gender also plays a role among in-house lawyers, the profession is no exception.“
