What does a Process Engineer do?
Process engineers have the task of working out procedures and concepts for improving technical processes in companies. They create process models that are then applied to the various processes. In this way, they check the efficiency and effectiveness of the individual processes and, if necessary, derive measures for process optimisation. There is always a need for optimisation when problems occur or a more effective production method becomes necessary.
The everyday work of process engineers includes extensive training on the measures developed. Often they are also responsible for a process team and coordinate its tasks. In addition, process engineers represent the entire improvement project before the management in their job.
✔ In summary, the following tasks can be noted:
✔ Development of procedures and concepts
✔ Creation and application of process models
✔Checking the efficiency and effectiveness of processes
✔ Deriving measures for process optimisation
✔ Training
✔ Representation of the improvement project to the management
