Welche Chancen haben Mechaniker auf dem Arbeitsmarkt?

Die Aussichten, einen Job in einem attraktiven Unternehmen zu finden, sind für Mechaniker gut. Aufgrund des aktuellen Fachkräftemangels haben die Mechaniker praktisch jeder Spezialisierung gute Chancen auf einen Job. Denn gerade bei den Industrieunternehmen sind qualifizierte Bewerber rar. Meist finden Mechaniker daher direkt nach ihrem Ausbildungsabschluss eine Stelle. Die Situation unterscheidet sich regional und hängt von der Anzahl ansässiger Unternehmen ab. So ist etwa die Lage für bestimmte Kfz-Berufe wie Mechatroniker in Baden-Württemberg und Bayern besonders komfortabel.

Welche Aufgaben und Tätigkeiten haben Mechaniker?

Allgemein besteht die Aufgabe von Mechanikern darin, Geräte, Bauteile und Maschinen zusammenzubauen, zu warten und zu reparieren. Aufgrund der Vielfalt an Spezialisierungen in der Mechaniker-Ausbildung hängt die genaue Tätigkeit von der Branche ab. Sie reicht daher von der sitzenden Arbeit am Werkzeugtisch bis hin zur körperlichen Betätigung an Großmaschinen.

  • Technisches Zeichnen
  • Herstellung von Bauteilen mithilfe von Fräsmaschinen, Schneidbrennern u. ä.
  • Montage, ggfs. verbunden mit Reisetätigkeit
  • Überprüfen der Funktionstüchtigkeit
  • Instandhaltung
  • Änderung/Anpassung von Anlagen

Über welche Hard Skills und Soft Skills sollten Mechaniker verfügen?

Voraussetzung für eine Bewerbung als Mechaniker ist eine geeignete Ausbildung, etwa zum Industriemechaniker oder Zerspanungsmechaniker. Das praktische Arbeiten bereitet Ihnen Freude, handwerkliches Geschick setzen daher die Arbeitgeber ebenfalls voraus. Aber die Tätigkeit als Mechaniker bringt auch abstrakte Arbeiten mit sich. Denn das Planen und Berechnen ist Teil des Berufs.

Daneben sind organisatorische Skills vonnöten, denn Prüfverfahren und Montagearbeiten sind sorgfältig und korrekt durchzuführen.

Was verdient man als Mechaniker?

Das Gehalt von Mechanikern ist in den unterschiedlichen Branchen per Tarifvertrag geregelt. Das gilt für die meisten großen und mittelständischen Unternehmen. Das Einstiegsjahresgehalt liegt durchschnittlich bei etwa 25.000 Euro und steigt mit der Erfahrung. Sollten Sie eine Leitungsfunktion innehaben, dürfen Sie ebenfalls mit einem höheren Gehalt rechnen.
