IFRS Closing Specialist (m/f/d)

Your responsibilities
- Responsible for selected processes by actively driving further standardization and ultimately increasing the levels of outsourcing and automation
- Supervising and coordinating the offshore preparation of monthly/quarterly/year-end IFRS financial statements centrally and for all company codes and branches of our client, including group reporting in SAP
- Preparing additional reporting information/uploading files (Country-by-Country Reporting, Financial Reporting Questionnaires, Tax reporting) for all company codes and branches of our client
- Performing validation and controling checks of closing related IFRS postings performed by our service provider
- Warranting offshore and onshore controls related to the completeness and accuracy of the IFRS closing and reporting are performed timely and accurately
- Interacting with offshore team, regional hubs, Financial Planning & Analysis to answer questions and resolve issues
- Identifying and reporting notable transactions and events for each reporting period
- Validating and controling of accrual postings performed offshore
- Acting as liaison and representative of AllianzGI and the Accounting & Financial Management function with internal and external auditors, regulatory and tax auditors, internal risk and other functions and other Allianz entities
- Providing support to the successful roll-out of global and regional change initiatives/projects, particularly driving the global standardization and harmonization of IFRS closing & reporting processes
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study, Certified Public Accountant preferred
- Already made deep and profound professional experience
- Excellent and specific knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and applicable financial laws, codes and regulations
- Great technology skills particularly with SAP & Power BI; strong skils with modeling in Excell
- Strong business sense supported by working highly analytical, diligent and detail oriented
- Capable of interpreting and understanding large data sets and communicate findings & able to put them into perspicuous narratives and tables
- Competence to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, multifaceted, ever-growing and often ambiguous environment; effective multi-tasking skills are a must have
- Proactive way of communication to address issues and move processes forward.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
- Working experience with an offshore shared service center or outsourced environment and understanding of its requirements and challenges is highly beneficial
- Ability to work with and lead a wide variety of onshore / offshore and cross-functional teams
