Teams of the future
When companies find market success, there is often more than one reason at play. A number of factors interact to ensure sustainable success – from appropriate team structures to responsive leadership to a healthy mix of stability and flexibility. Likewise, being successful in sport requires a similar set of circumstances, so companies are looking more and more in this direction for inspiration.
During the Hays-Forum, Prof. Dr. Hans-Dieter Hermann, an expert in both these areas of endeavour, explored these two topics in detail. As a sports psychologist for the German national football team (in addition to his other areas of work), he provided practical techniques for the prevention and management of performance-related stress as well as general stressful situations. In his lecture, he pointed out the prerequisites for ensuring team success and devoted particular attention to the topic of leadership. He also provided encouraging insights into achieving optimal motivation and successful teamwork.
