BI Analyst (m/f/d)
Your responsibilities
- Collaborate with BI Engineers, Data Engineers, and other team members to understand business requirements and translate them into reporting and self-service analytics solutions on PowerBI
- Design and develop intuitive reports, dashboards, and visualizations on PowerBI that cater to the needs of various business users
- Build robust data models (i.e. using dbt, SQL, and Databricks) to support self-service analytics capabilities
- Implement efficient data pipelines and transformations using SQL and Data Engineering best practices
- Establish and enforce CI/CD practices to ensure smooth deployment and version control of Reports, data models, and associated assets
- Work closely with business users to understand their analytical needs and provide training, documentation, and support to enable self-service analytics
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure the availability, reliability, and accuracy of data sources used in self-service analytics
- Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of reports, dashboards, and data models to ensure an optimal user experience
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in self-service analytics, BI tools, and data modeling techniques
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance and mentorship to other team members regarding self-service analytics and PowerBI usage
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in BI Analysis / Data Analysis
- Proven hands-on data experience, with demonstrated increase of responsibilities over time
- Proven experience as a BI Analyst or similar role, (experience with PowerBI, dbt, SQL, and Databricks).analyze data
- Proven ability to enable self-service analytics and empower business users to independently explore and analyze data
- Strong proficiency in developing reports, dashboards, and visualizations on PowerBI
- Strong proficiency in developing and maintaining data models on PowerBI using DAX, M, etc.
- Expertise in building data models (i.e. using dbt, SQL, and Databricks) to support analytical needs
- Proficient in SQL for data querying, analysis, and transformation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and present findings to non-technical stakeholders
