Your responsibilities

  • Data Engineering
  • Collaborate with BI Analysts, Data Engineers, and other team members to understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models and pipelines
  • Design and develop scalable and efficient data models using dbt, SQL, and Databricks to support reporting and analytics needs
  • Implement data pipelines and transformations using SQL, data integration tools, and Data Engineering best practices
  • Set up data quality measures and implement data validation checks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness
  • Establish and enforce data governance practices, including data access controls, metadata management, and data lineage tracking
  • Develop and maintain documentation for data models, data flows, pipelines, and data quality measures to facilitate understanding and collaboration
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of data sources used in reporting and analytics
  • Implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and data privacy standards
  • Establish and enforce CI/CD practices to ensure smooth deployment and version control of data models, pipelines, and related assets
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the performance of data models and pipelines for improved efficiency and scalability

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree or above in Informatics, Computer Science, Digital Engineering
  • Proven experience as a BI Engineer or similar role, working extensively with data modelling on dbt, SQL,and Databricks, preferably
  • Proficiency in designing and implementing data models (i.e. using dbt, SQL, AWS, and Databricks).
  • Profound knowledge of data quality management practices, including data validation, profiling, and cleansingtechniques
  • Profound experience in implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data requirements andimplement effective solutions
  • Solid understanding of Data Engineering principles and best practices, with the ability to collaborateeffectively with Data Engineers
  • Experience with data integration tools and technologies, as well as SQL for data querying, analysis, andtransformation
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools, such as Git, for managing code deployments and versioncontrol
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to document processes, data models, pipelines, data quality measures,and data governance practices thoroughly
  • Proven ability to quickly earn the trust of peers and key stakeholders; mobilize and motivate teamsSet direction and approach, resolve conflict, deliver tough messages with grace, execute with limitedinformation and ambiguity
  • Ability to navigate matrix organizations effectively
  • Results-oriented, diligent, and works with a sense of urgency
  • Assertive, responsible, have a strong affinity for defining work in deliverables, and be willing to commit todeadlines
  • Influential, focused and versatile team player that is comfortable under pressure
  • Profound communication skills 
  • Profound English, German or Mandarin or other language knowledge
